Most of our gasification boilers
need the same basic accessories.
Typically, this is what we recommend.
The EKO-25, EKO-40, Tarm-30, and the
Tarm-40 would each be plumbed
with a primary loop of 1-1/4" pipe.
The EKO-60 and Tarm-60 should be plumbed
with 1-1/2" pipe.
The EKO-80 should be plumbed with 2" primary
pipe.
The EKO needs:
1 Pressure relief valve, 30#
1 Pressure & Temperature Gauge, the boiler has
an internal gauge but this helps with flow temps.
1 Air Separator, usually a Taco Vortec or Spiro-vent.
1 Expansion Tank, (typically a #30 for the smaller
boilers, #60 for the larger boilers.
1 Loading Valve, either a Termovar or a Danfoss.
1 Pump for the Primary loop (additional pumps may
be needed for other zones).
1 Pump flanges with purge drains for each pump.
1 Water Prep Solution 102, to clean and prep the
boiler.
1 Water trreatment 101, to protect the water in
the boiler.
The Tarm needs all the same things
except it comes with the Pressure relief valve already.
The Tarm, EKO, and BioMax all will
perform better and more efficiently with a Thermal
Water Storage System. See the related website to
learn more.
