Orlan EKO boilers are leading the nation
today for a number of reasons.
First, let me tell you a little about how they work.
The wood is loaded into the top chamber and air is injected
from the top – down. There is no escape for the
burning gases except down through a “nozzle”
or slot at the bottom of the ceramic chamber. The fire
is actually rather small and only burning the wood on
the bottom of the wood chamber. The burning gases are
pushed down through the slot and mixed with super-heated
oxygen that is forced through the ceramics below the
wood. The introduction of the hot oxygen mixed with
the “wood gas” from the top “explodes”
into the lower chamber and burns violently at temperatures
exceeding 2000ºF.
At those temperatures all creosote is eliminated, smoke
becomes almost non-existent, and very little ash is
left. Don’t let anyone tell you they have a gasification
burner that burns in one chamber. Believe me, if you
had this kind of fire near the wood the entire load
of firewood would be consumed in minutes.
The 2000º + gases then pass to the rear of the
boiler and pass through a series of “fire tubes”…simply,
a series of tubes that take the hot gases from the bottom
of the stove, through the water, toward the chimney
vent. These gases exit the boiler at temperatures usually
less than 400º. All the heat possible is pulled
from the fire into the water through these tubes.
These boilers are a safe and environmentally friendly
way to heat your home and domestic water with wood.
Because the boilers use wood gasification combustion,
they give unusually high overall heating efficiency.
They use substantially less wood than conventional boilers
and outdoor water stoves with no visible smoke when
fully operating.
EKO boilers burn so clean, they are safer (virtually
no risk of a chimney fire) and result in cleaner air
for everyone. They also help to substantially reduce
greenhouse gas emissions. EKO Line boilers enable you
to increase the warm security of your home in a safe,
environmentally responsible way.

This is the biggest year
in history for Gasification wood boilers. When
you call us you will be greeted and put through
to me or one of the folks here who can help you.
However, on many days the calls stack up and the
girl (Usually Amy, my wife) who takes your call
may simply have to take your phone number. We
will call you back. If you are not available when
we call back we’ll play phone tag until
we get an opportunity to talk. When we finally
get to talk I will take as much time as you like
to chat. As long as you and I are on the phone
you are the most important person in the room.
I will try never to put you on hold or take another
call.
I will visit with you about your home; the size,
Btu requirements, if you plan to install inside
or outside, etc. I’ll tell you everything
I can about our boilers and about different advantages
like water storage. I will help you select a type
of stove and also help you select the right size
for your home. I will never pressure you in any
way to purchase anything we have. I’m only
here to help you with as many details as I possibly
can. I will gladly write a quote for you while
you are on the phone. Then I’ll go down
the details of the quote and send it to you by
email (or snail mail). You can take as much time
as you like to look the quote over and call back
as many times as you need to work out the details.
You can add or remove anything you want from the
quote.
When you are comfortable with the stove you’ve
selected and you’re ready to buy I will
take your order and give you as much information
I can about delivery times and expected shipments.
I will need your credit card number, expiration
date and the three digit security number from
the back of the card. I will need to know the
address the credit card uses for your billing.
I will also need to know where you want me to
ship your boiler. Hopefully you can provide a
commercial location address; like a lumber yard
or hardware, or any business with regular business
hours and a fork lift. If you prefer you can mail
a check. If you mail a check we prefer a cashier’s
check, but we’ll take a personal check,
we just need to let it clear before processing
your order.
I’ll do my best to give you some idea of
when to expect delivery. Today, I would guess
most EKO orders to be about two - four weeks.
That will change as the summer progresses. By
fall we may be looking at eight or even twelve
weeks delivery…. So please, order early!
Then comes the fun part! I love being involved
in your installation. I want to help you with
every detail. I would rather spend an hour today
helping you understand your system than for you
to spend hours later frustrated because of something
simple. I promise to take as much time as necessary
helping you with your design. I will customize
drawings and piping diagrams for your home. If
you want to send me pictures of your home heating
system that would be great. In-other-words, I
want you to feel very comfortable and fully understand
your new boiler and design.
You have my promise that I will take the time
with you to help you understand every part of
your new heating system. I will be there for you
from the first day we talk. I will be there for
you as you try to understand the design of your
pipes, pumps and hook-up. I will be there for
you as you start your first fire and you begin
to make small adjustments. And I will be there
for you years from now when you need an upgrade,
a part, or just some advice.
Cozy Heat is the Nation’s
largest distributor for one reason…
our customers trust us! We take that trust seriously
and plan to prove ourselves trustworthy to you
also. You may find we are a couple dollars more
money (maybe less). But you will not find anyone
who will be more helpful, more understanding,
or more involved than we are.
Let us be your supplier for your new, warm heating
system. This should be easy, trouble free, and
efficient as possible for the rest of your life.
Please, let me help – you’ll be glad
you did.
